Part of the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, Quesnell Heights is a neighbourhood within Edmonton, Alberta.


Driving is a great medium of transportation in this part of Edmonton. It is very convenient to park, and it is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in Quesnell Heights. In contrast, this area is not very transit friendly. It is at times difficult to travel by bike in this neighbourhood as there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not especially extensive. This part of Edmonton is also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as few day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.


Parents and their schoolchildren will find that wherever their home is located in this neighbourhood, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, this part of Edmonton does not have any high schools. As far as food is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed in Quesnell Heights to reach the closest grocery store.


Quesnell Heights is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. It is very easy to access green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in. This area is also very good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.


Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing almost all buildings in Quesnell Heights. Most of the housing growth in this part of Edmonton took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly all of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented.
