Ben sweet is thorough and professional. He did a lot more for me than I ever expected from a Realtor. I really appreciated how he were on top of things and how you kept me informed every step of the way very highly recommended!

This isn’t the first time Ben has helped me out, when I first arrived in Calgary Ben helped me find a condo. He was very careful to make sure everything was what I needed. This time I got Ben to help me sell my house. Once more I wasn’t disappointed, he helped give me tips on what I should do to make the sale look a little more appealing. If I had a question he answered lickety split. I never had to wait to hear from him. He manage to get what I was asking as well. It didn’t hurt that he showed a lot of respect and has a great personality. If I was to do this again I would get Ben to help for sure.

Scott is a very service focused realtor that was amazing to work with and helped us find a home in our tight timeline. Scott listened to all of our needs, answered all of our questions (including the dumb ones), and was quick to respond at all hours making sure we were taken care of.

Scott was able to book our last minute viewing requests and changes, and kept us in check to keep us within our budget. He gave us unfiltered opinions on viewings and let us know when "renovated" homes were of poor craftsmanship. Living in a condo for 18 years and buying our first house, Scott pointed out a lot of details that we would have overlooked which made our decision making easier.

When we found a home we loved, Scott was able to negotiate our many of our requests with the seller and managed to get us an additional $1500 off our agreed offer. Scott made sure all of the questions we had for the buyer were answered and followed up with us immediately after hearing back.

I'm writing this review for many reasons but one in particular, and that was because what brought me to call Ben Sweets and associates in the first place, it was because of the online reviews! Anyways good thing we did use Ben! You can't pay someone enough to care and definitely Ben and his team cared and were so professional.

They definitely knew their stuff, unlike the other realtors we interviewed before Ben. I would ask them questions and they basically were ill informed about their very own industry.. But when we interviewed Ben we also grilled him, as this was our first time listing and selling a house. He never blinked once, was kind and answered all of our questions and concerns and also very responsive from all hours of the day and even night during our sale.

We are very happy we hired him. We listed our house and by day 7 we sold it! Ben's marketing really does work and this is proof! Even during a pandemic! So thank you Ben and your team! And I hope when you read this, you will also call because you won't be disappointed. There wasn't enough star options to rate highly but the full 5 will have work!

Darren is a very good realtor. He takes a very good care of his customers. He also provides detailed guidance to those who are first time home buyers and those who would like to understand deeply in the process. He works hard to find solutions. I highly recommend him.

Darren was just outstanding! Some times I would send him listings to view the night before and he would book the tour the next day (In such a short notice). He is super active and really knowledgeable about the real estate market and different neighborhoods in Calgary. I was a picky home buyer and we searched the home for three months with over 100+ different viewings. Not once did I feel like he was rushing me into a deal. When I found a perfect home he got me an unbelievable deal using his specialties. He goes out of his way to make your home transaction really smooth. There are many instances where he went above and beyond. For instance after property inspection, the filter in the furnace was really old and I raised a concern with Darren. The next day he raised the issue with the other realtor to let the owners know to change the filter. The owner/realtor did not change the filter the next time did a walk through so he just he bought 3 pack of filter by himself and replaced it for me and never charged me anything for it. Absolutely recommend him to anyone.

At the time I asked Ben to list my home, there were 3 other homes listed for sale on the same block. We hired Ben Sweet after interviewing a number of other realtors that had been disappointing and lack luster in terms of attitude. Referred to us by a friend who Ben had recently sold a home for, we knew he was different and hired him by the end of our first conversation with him. Ben has top notch communication skills, is highly organized and efficient, and was very keen to tackle the listing. It was a slightly challenging project to sell a longtime family home that needed to take into consideration the needs of an elderly person living the house as well as the need to work with a group of adults making all the decisions, but Ben was never deterred. The location of the home was also tricky, but he was able to immediately determine how to market the home to the right crowd who would see nearby c-train as a bonus, rather than a negative. When other realtors showing the home were not respectful of real estate protocols, Ben worked diligently to protect our interests and correct the mistakes of other real estate colleagues who are not as professional in their work efforts. Ben Sweet was our realtor for buying and selling our property in Calgary. As the purchasing realtor he was able to negotiate approximately $20,000 off of the asking price and 1 year later as the selling realtor for the same property we were able to sell it for $25,000 more than we paid to buy it. He was knowledgeable about many features of a home including different flooring types, bathroom renovations, contemporary designs, etc. With this knowledge he was able to point out features in homes while we were purchasing that would either be beneficial or something we would want to consider renovating. When we were selling he did a walkthrough of the house and pointed out some simple features that we may consider updating to give the house a modern feel which helped us increase the value of the house as mentioned above. In addition to being knowledgeable about individual home details Ben had excellent knowledge of the various communities in which we were looking. He was able to describe the pros and cons of each community which was helpful as we looked at numerous houses in several communities. Ben kept us up to date throughout the entire purchasing and selling process and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or sell their house.

There were times Ben went above and beyond, specifically on a long weekend when we were in the middle of a negotiation. We benefited from his experience and he made sure we were comfortable through the whole process.

We first tried to sell our house a couple years ago, using a family friend. Everything was done "old school" - folders, flyers, printouts of comps. He brushed off the concept of staging, his pictures were just adequate, and we ended up having to rent out our house after it sat on the market for several months.

A few weeks ago, our renters broke their lease and we were faced with trying to sell or rent again. We now live in a different area, which makes communication even more important. I searched online and found all these reviews for Ben, and thought I would give him a call. Worst case, I figured he had to at least be good at marketing.

From the first phone conversation I had with him, I had complete confidence in his abilities. He made the entire process extremely easy and went above and beyond what he needed to do. He put us in contact with a great staging company, helped us deal with the property manager, went over some legal issues, etc. The pictures of the property were spectacular. We had 5 showings within 48 hours, and 2 offers! He completely lived up to what he promised.

To begin with, our situation was a little complex, buying from another province with non-flexible work hours. Ben and Meredith were an absolute dream to deal with. Super prompt in replying to any questions we had.

They had it all figured out for us from house inspectors to mortgage brokers. We also were in an abnormal financial situation, and through Meredith's recommendation we were able to get approved for the mortgage we needed.

They were always available, be either Family Day weekend or Easter weekend... They made us seem like a priority which was very refreshing.

The furthest thing they were from is pushy. If we didn't like a house, we were out of there ASAP. If we wanted to see something else, they were on it right away! Meredith even went out of her way and did a search on houses with some of our criteria... and we ended up finding the house we bought this way!

I have known Ben for a number of years, but it was only 2 years ago that I was able to lean on him as my real estate agent. I had purchased property in the past, but never a house. There were so many details that I would have likely over looked if it wasn't for Ben. He scrutinized each property as though he might be buying it for himself. He made note of things that I would for sure have over looked so when it came time to put the offer in I knew that my choice of property was a sound one.

There are many areas in life where I recommend people when I find someone who is excellent at what they do. In Real Estate, without a doubt I send Ben Sweets name to anyone who is even considering selling or buying a property. He is an outstanding professional and knows the Calgary market like no one else I have ever talked to. We were planning to sell our house in about a year and met with Ben when he outlined the buying and selling cycles in Calgary so we could list at the ideal time to maximize our profits. He went through our house, which we had not done a great deal of improvement on for the 10 years we lived there, and pointed out every thing (and I mean everything from a paint chip, to door k***s, to a bathroom that needed re-doing) that would reduce our profit from a buyers stand point. He knew the trends that were in houses that sold quickly and gave us the list to start working through. "The goal is to fix anything that would give a buyer a moment of pause to question purchasing." With the list he then helped prioritize the list if we did not want to do all of the work, it was up to us to make the decision. From the initial meeting, to the professional photo shoot, to staging, he was always checking in on how we were doing and what was happening with the market in our neighborhood as we approached listing target. Two properties listed a day before ours was scheduled and he advised waiting to see what happened and where the price action settled. We put all our trust in his experience for listing price and timing and we are so glad we did not let our emotions get in the way. He listed lower than we originally thought but he was confident that the market was short on houses and there were people who wanted into our community. After a few days, both houses sold. The day we listed at 8:30am, I finished the absolute LAST DETAIL on fixing up the house for sale. Agents flooded our house for three days, at times there were three agents with perspective clients in the house at the same time... Our house sold in 5 days and we far exceeded our expectations for the sale.

Our family moved to Calgary in 2012, we were given Bens contact info from a friend in NS. We could not afford to fly here to view homes so we put our trust in Ben and his video skills. We did not know any Calgary areas or know anyone who lived here. We put our family's future In his hands. We did not have a lot to spend, $250K. I was looking for a place to fix to get out of debt. Ben not only had to find a home in Calgary for $250K but it had to be near a school, playgrounds, livable, and something I could flip. We purchased the house for $251K when it was listed for $281K! The home met all of our requirements and we sold in in 2015 for $330K. We payed off all our debt and purchased a new home. My new home was listed for $510k and we purchased it for $480K. My family depended on him to basically choose our first home in Calgary, not only was it a great home but I flipped it and my family is debt free... it could have gone many other ways...
