Grand Boulevard

Grand Boulevard is a neighbourhood within City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


It is convenient for pedestrians to get around in this part of City of North Vancouver; running common errands is easy on foot, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. However, this neighbourhood is not very appropriate for cycling since there are few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter a significant amount of slopes. Driving is a very good transportation option in this part of the city. Parking is generally easy, and most properties for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, this neighbourhood is not an especially convenient part of City of North Vancouver for travelling by public transit. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most properties.


It is often an option for property owners in Grand Boulevard to buy general and specialty groceries by walking. Moreover, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of choices. When it comes to education, in Grand Boulevard, parents and their children will usually be able to get to daycares and schools by walking.


Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Grand Boulevard. This area is good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, there are approximately 10 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in and they are especially well-distributed, making it very easy to reach them from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood.


In Grand Boulevard, about 45% of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly duplexes. This part of the city has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s.
